With a 97.01 passing percentage, the University of the Philippines (UPV), through its College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), was declared as the top performing school in this year’s Fisheries Technologist Licensure Exam (FTLE).
Eight out of the 65 passers from UPV secured their spot in the over-all top 10 placers, among the 457 national passers and the 1,391 who took the exam.
The top rank was bagged by CFOS alumni Vince Neil Bolasco Fuertes, who had had a rating of 87.75%, followed by Dennis De Limatanay who scored 87.50%.
Jerry Ian Ladoc Leonida was ranked fourth, Karmelie Jane Montaño Monaya at the sixth place, Josel Fullido Cadangin at seventh, Riza Jane Serdeña Banicod at eighth, Jant Cres Cainglet Caigoy at ninth, and May Flor Sibonga Muege at tenth.
The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) released on Tuesday the results of the FTLE, two working days after the last day of the examinations. The national passing percentage this year is at 32.85%.
